The Romans are back in Kirkham!

Saturday 6 July, 1 – 4pm.

Come along to Kirkham Town Centre; enjoy a fun filled afternoon, learn some fun facts, get creative and time travel into Kirkham’s Roman past.

  • A launch of the exhibition     Kirkham’s Romans Story and a celebration of the community archaeology     project, at St Michaels Church.
  • A Roman Town Trail –     interactive quiz ( this will continue until August 31st ).
  • Free fun creativity activity     with artist Andy Shaw and Sharon Kelly.

The Roman exhibition will also be on display from the 6 July - 31 August, opening times: Thursdays 11 am - 3 pm & Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm, St Michaels Church.

Participate in quiz (First place winner - £50, Runners up- Mystery Prize)

Forms will be available from Serendipity House from 8 July until 31 August.

There will also be a Roman Kirkham & Community Archaeology talk - St Michael's Church - Friday 19 July - 7:30.

This project forms part of Kirkham’s Historic England HAZ, Cultural Programme2023/2024.

Additional funding secured successful grant bids from LCC and NLHF, meant that the third and final year of the programme was planned to run over 19 months, until the end of October 2024.
