Phoenix Rising is delivering Wellbeing sessions in Kirkham as part of the High Street Heritage Action Zone Programme funded by Historic England. The scheduled sessions which run from January 7th can be seen on the Phoenix Rising website. Check the website and Facebook pages for updates and changes.
Grants of up to 90% are available for schemes that preserve and enhance the quality and character of the historic high street through the repair and refurbishment of buildings. The fund will be open for applications until 30 September 2023 (subject to funding being available) with all work to be completed and invoiced by the end of January 2024. Fylde Borough Council and The Paul Hogarth company are looking to commission artists /makers to undertake the development of several site-specific works within the town centre. These commissions are integral to the overall vision for the public realm, designed by The Paul Hogarth Company. The public art programme is funded by Historic England’s High Street Heritage Action Zones (HS HAZ) programme, which recognises heritage and culture as being one of the main drivers for regeneration.
